“Evelyn, I just want to say how wonderful the show was this weekend. I know everyone worked very hard to create such and entertaining production. The dances were great, the costumes added so much and the theme was OVER THE TOP! I really appreciate all of the wonderful dance instruction both my girls receive from the studio. Thank you for creating a wonderful opportunity for my children. We feel very lucky to be a part of a great studio.”
-Michele R.

“Dear Evelyn, I just wanted to tell you how enjoyable the recital was for our family. We enjoyed the vignettes of ballet firsts and the choreography was lovely for all the students. Dylan Fisherman is my granddaughter, and she was so happy and proud as we were! Congratulations!”
-Ricki H.

“Dear Mrs. Evelyn, I just wanted to thank you a lot for all those years with you as a teacher. It’s wonderful to have someone with such wisdom and experience. You taught musicality, quickness and acting to me. You would always push me to the best of my ability and I’ve made great progress with you. I hope this little note will please you and I will always remember you. Sincerely,”
-Jeanne

“Evelyn, I just wanted to thank you for an amazing 6 years! I have learned enough to last me a lifetime and have made some truly incredible friendships in my time here, and I know that it’s not an easy thing to come by. In all my years of dancing and teaching, I have never known any studio quite like yours. What you do, and what you give to your students and staff is unparalleled. As far as teaching goes, your studios will always be home for me. The skills I’ve learned and the knowledge I’ve acquired in these last 6 years are because of you, and I will always have you to thank for not only my ability to teach every level and age but even more-so, my love for it all. Thank you for being such a great mentor and overall inspiration. Words cannot express my level of gratitude. Love,”

“Dear Ginger and Evelyn, I meant to do this sooner, but May is just a crazy month. I just wanted to let you know how happy we are that Emma has rejoined HAD. She had a great year and loved every minute of it. The performance was absolutely beautiful, as they always are. The choreography was so good and we were so impressed with the dances at every level. Thanks again.”
-Natalie Parish (Emma Parish’s mom)

“Wanted you to know my daughter was absolutely joyous when she got in the car after ballet, and remained happy all evening. She even woke up happier. You inspire her.”
-Deborah

“I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how phenomenal a job I feel Katie and Sara are doing with the toddler ballet class. They have been nothing but warm and inviting and friendly… And they work with the little girls so wonderfully. Always a smile and always comforting. Thanks for all the hard work you put into our budding ballerinas.”
-Lauren D.

“Hi, Ginger. I just wanted to tell you I thoroughly enjoyed observing Thursday’s ballet class last week. I was SO glad I came and that you encouraged the girls to invite their parents. It helped me better appreciate ballet, the perfection it requires and the demands of that art form. I just can’t say enough about how much I liked being there, as I haven’t observed Hallie’s classes in awhile and never took ballet as a child. I am thankful Hallie has you for a teacher and that you have high standards for your class! You are an excellent teacher!”
-Cami M.

“Thank you for so many years of dedication, passion and education. You have been a huge part of my life and helped mold me into the person I am today. Thank you for providing such a great place to call my dance home. Everything I know I’ve learned from you. You know I won’t be a stranger… you will be seeing me at recitals for years to come, I hope! You are an inspiration and amazing role model. Thank you again for all you do.”
-Lori Peterson

“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you guys for the work you did with the junior intensive. I honestly could see planning our summer around the intensive weeks next summer so that Joelle may attend both weeks next summer!”
-Petie DP

“Congratulations again on your recent retirement from EHS! It’s been great to come back to the studio these past six months and see how everyone has grown. I’ve learned a great deal from you… ballet and life lessons alike. I am grateful and honored to have such a wonderful lady in my life… someone who has shaped me both as a dancer and as a person. God Bless!”
-Ashley GR

“What an amazing recital! The quality of dance, the choice of music, the careful choreography that played to each girl’s strength, the developmental appropriateness… just really remarkable. Thank you so much. And I must also mention the professional level of administration and how smooth the rehearsal was.”
-Victoria J

“Thank you so much for writing me a letter of recommendation, as well as teaching me at EHS these last 3 years. You have given me the opportunity to work with so many fantastic choreographers and allowed me to realize there is life outside of ballet! Most importantly, you have taught me to not take myself so seriously! You have opened doors for me to explore all styles of dance and given me the experience, confidence and discipline I will need as I head to New York next year. Thank you so much!”

“Tendu, plié, pirouette… a petite, polished-looking woman repeats from the corner of the Episcopal High School dance studio. This is an everyday occurrence in dance class, and four years ago I would never have thought that this quiet, reserved woman would teach me so many important life lessons. Yet here I am writing a college essay about how she has altered the way I interact with people and the problems I face in my own life. Evelyn Ireton has a certain knack for inspiring people to reach their fullest potential…”

“Evelyn, thank you for everything. I owe my success in dance to you. When PVA made me hate dance, you and the West U faculty kept me going. When I was in the lower level ballet classes, I remember watching your class and rehearsals for the recital and I could not wait to be in Level VI. I appreciate everything you have done for me, especially every correction I received in class. Thank you!”
-Shaffer S.

“Evelyn et al, congrats on a most fabulous, entertaining, informative, educational performance at this year’s recital! Very clever. Very professional. Always a pleasure to attend. Thanks for all your years of commitment to the love of dance. You Rock!”
-Debbie

“Dear Evelyn, my daughter Scarlett has really enjoyed ballet at your school. The Spring Performance was fantastic. I love the ballet dances, and the choreography and the perfection of all the sequences. I was impressed. I hope to have Scarlett back next season!”
-Susie K

“Ms. Evelyn, your thoughtfulness made a difference in all our lives! The Workshop was a big success!! Thank you for continuing to impact my children’s lives. The memories made will touch their lives in the future (and now). With deep gratitude…”
-Dena R

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity of dancing at your studio for so many years. It’s been a great experience! Love…”

“Mrs. Ireton, When I look back and reflect on the past four years, my fondest and most abundant memories take place in the dance studios and the theatre, basically revolving around dancing. I remember throughout the entire school day, I would be sitting in class and learning, but at the same time thinking about and looking forward to dance class. God has given me so many blessings in my life, and you are one of them. If it wasn’t for you, I can honestly say that I would not be the dancer I am today. Sometimes, actually most of the time, your classes and rehearsals were tough, but they were exactly what all of us dancers needed in order to improve.
I seriously loved having you as a teacher soooo much. You are a person I will never, ever forget and I will miss you so much too! I just wanted to say thank you for so much for all that you have done for me over the past four years!”

“Evelyn, it is hard to believe that Ginea has been dancing at Houston Academy of Dance for 13 years. I wanted to personally thank you for your excellent dance instruction and the privilege Gina has had to perform your choreography. Teaching a student a strong professional work ethic in the pursuit of improvement is something you have imparted to Gina. There have been over the years laughter, tears, highs and lows, but Gina’s love of dance and performance have always been supported at HAD. I thank you for the opportunities you have offered Gina and hope that she continues to be part of your studio. With kind regards…”
-Karen

“Evelyn, hi! I used to dance at HAD when it was on Dairy Ashford. I was in Houston last weekend and drove past the studio and decided to look it up on Facebook. The technique I learned as a dancer at HAD has served me well and I still enjoy dancing to this day! You taught me so well and with such patience. I take adult classes when I can and I even recently was cast to perform in a Cirque-like Christmas show as a dancer next month! I became a mom at age 21 and my now 15-year-old daughter dances too, of course! I have fond memories of HAD. I just thought you would be pleased to know of the positive influence you have had on me and the joy I still get from what I learned at HAD. Blessings!”
-Stephanie B

“Hi Denean, We appreciate your help and understanding of our situation. Thanks for being such a provider! I will make sure Daniella will return to HAD. She will start school and we will understand schedule/ logistics better. I know that you have rules and appreciate it, but in such situations the way you kindly reacted you kept your customer happy:-) and we will like to return to HAD. Thanks for that!”
